Inheritec Case Study

Recovering £160,000 for 13 Charities from Previously Unidentified Estate Assets

Several years after the administration of the estate of Ronald Brunskill, Inheritec identified significant shareholdings that had not been included in the original probate process. What initially appeared to be approximately £80,000 in overlooked assets ultimately led to the recovery of around £160,000 through further investigations and specialist asset tracing.

Working closely with the estate's executors, Inheritec successfully traced additional investments, recovered outstanding dividends and distributions, and uncovered a previously unknown nominee-held account. The recovered funds were distributed to 13 charitable beneficiaries, including Cancer Research UK, the British Heart Foundation and the RNIB, ensuring the deceased's wishes were fully honoured.

This case demonstrates how specialist estate asset recovery can uncover substantial value long after an estate has been finalised, helping executors meet their obligations while ensuring beneficiaries receive their full entitlement.
